Bruning & Federle JJ Model Fans
A complete line of material-handling blowers ranging in inlet size from 11" to 37" diameter and from 600 CFM to 38,000 CFM are offered. Standard construction units are fabricated from 1/4" steel plate and EXTRA HEAVY construction units have a 1/4" steel plate housing and 3/8" AR plate wheel and scroll. We also offer custom fabrication from special alloys and heavier plate thickness. Standard blowers are furnished "arrangement 1" without motor or v-belt drives; however, we also offer complete "arrangement 9" blower assemblies including motors and v-belt drives. Other options include shaft seal heat slinger, belt guard, access door, inlet and outlet screen, flanged inlet and outlet, and housing drain.
FAN SCROLL ASSEMBLY
Our standard scroll assembly is fabricated from 1/4" carbon steel plate. During construction the scroll assembly receives a continuous weld along the exterior seams. The scroll assembly is then bolted to the remaining pieces of the fan allowing the scroll assemnly to be fully rotatable and adaptable to clockwise or counterclockwise discharge. Other materials (i.e. abrasion resistant, stainless steel or special coatings) can be added during the construction process, for an additional cost.
The Bruning & Federle industrial fan wheel is a radial-open, six-bladed, self-cleaning design. The wheel is solid welded construction with dual bracing for fan sizes 13" through 37".
All Bruning & Federle "JJ" fans are equipped with quality Morse Seal Master self-aligning roller bearings. Each bearing is designed to handle intense radial and thrust loads by utilizing a split housing construction and double row tapered roller bearings. These bearings have a normal operating life of 30,000 hours (when properly maintained).
Fan shafts are precision machined from the highest grade of cold rolled 1144 shaft material available.
BEARING SUPPORTS & PEDESTAL
Our tubular steel bearing supports are mounted to a rugged-duty pedestal that supports the bearings, shaft, and wheel. Use of tubular steel bearing supports allows easy removal of the bearings without reaching into the pedestal. The pedestal is bolted to the other fan components, allowing the fan to be disassembled and reassembled in the desired rotation and discharge.
FAN INLETS AND DISCHARGES
Each fan inlet is proportional to the discharge in order to maintain system velocity. The fan inlet is a short collar design to allow a removable draw-band connection, while the fan discharge is flanged construction to allow the connection to be bolted from the outside.
